My grandmother, My inspiration, My hero.
She is all of these things. As many of you know, I am a product of the new generation of a child being raised by her grandparents.
Growing up, I knew very few people who lived with their grandparents instead of their mom/dad or both, but I hear it is becoming more common and I honestly have so much respect for these folks.
My Grandmother taught me many things... To love the Lord, to be concerned for others, TO NAG like a PRO,(ha!), generosity, respect( although I should have had more!),kindness, and most of all unconditional Love. She is an inspiration to me, and I thank God each day for her. I honestly don't know where I would have ended up without the love of her and my Grandpa.
They gave more to me than they will ever know... Love that I will never forget, Security that a child needs, and teachings that will stay with me forever. If you know of a Grandparent that is raising their Grandchildren, tell them how special they are, how much you respect them for their hard works, and most of all, How you knew someone who wrote on a BLOG that the influence of a Grandparent changed her life for the good.
